About Me
I have had an allotment for over 50years on the same site. I am passionate about this hobby and I am always willing to pass on my gardening knowledge . The way to learn is to ask and all my knowledge has been passed down from experienced gardeners.
I grow organically and am self sufficient in vegetables for over ten months of the year. I like to grow most of my standard varieties of vegetables but love the challenge of experimemting with a few new crops every year. Some you win some you lose.
The important aspect of growing your own is to enjoy the experience and anyone who says it is hard work are not enjoying the whole growing culture.
Enjoy the wholesome good food grown in the way you like it and there are no fixed rules about what to grow.
