Garden bloggers of the world unite at ‘The Malvern Meet’

A truly inspirational idea from one of our gardenersclick members is aiming to bring garden bloggers of the world together at Malvern Spring Show from 6-9 May 2010.

‘The Malvern Meet’ has been organised by VP, Michelle Chapman and Patientgardener, Helen Johnstone to encourage bloggers from around the UK or the world to come along and have a get together at a specially dedicated blogging spot at the show, located near the ‘Design for Living Theatre’ and refreshments area.

Since the idea was launched, Michelle and Helen have been amazed with the response. Michelle said “ We are already up to around 40 bloggers and some are coming from Europe and even the USA!  It’s going to be great to put faces to our garden blogging friends.”

gardenersclick will be supporting Michelle and Helen and will be providing some give away goodies for blogging visitors.  For those who are interested in joining the Malvern Meet please visit http://malvernmeet.blogspot.com/

* If you hurry, there is also a special offer from The Malvern Spring Show team.  They have offered a limited number of half-price tickets (for Friday or Saturday) for all those bloggers who have their own established blog site, who write a full blog post about the Spring Show before the event or who write a guest post for the Meet@Malvern blog.

I put forward the idea of a meeting for GC members when this site first appeared! (ages ago now)

I am still waiting at Trentham Gardens in vain

Emma - sad that you won't be able to join us, but I've a feeling this won't be the last bloggers get together :)

There's lots of news and reports already on the Meet @ Malvern blog and I'm sure there'll be loads more covering the actual event, so you'll be able to join us virtually at least!

This is a brilliant idea and I just wish I could go along. There are some fantastic garden bloggers out there, and the Malvern Show is one of my favourite. Very jealous of anyone going!

Fenlandphil - it's a pretty big show - 104 nurseries exhibiting, 7 show gardens entered for the Chris Beardshaw design mentorship, 16 other showgardens, 9 schools entries. And then there's the Design Theatre (Terry Walton appeaered there last year), the gardenersclick stand with a question forum with GC members on hand to answer questions, not to mention all the trade stands.

Tempted?

Do tell me about what you did for Peter Briggs last year...

I made some stuff last year for Peter Biggs' prize winning show garden last year, at Malvern Show.

I haven't ever attended it is a bit of a long way for me, how big a show is it?

We're also fundraising for the NGS and have a donate button on the blog. Make a donation and you could win a Yellow Book or a Gardenersclick T-shirt!
